Expressions of Interest

Working together for a healthier tomorrow!

The Garrett County Health Department will accept Expressions of Interest from qualified vendors to provide transportation services for all Garrett County residents who are eligible for Medical Assistance transportation through a grant from the Maryland Department of Health & Mental Hygiene.  The award will be renewable for an additional two years under the terms of the contract.

Sealed Expressions of Interest must be submitted to the Garrett County Health Department, Administration Department, 1025 Memorial Drive, Oakland, Maryland 21550 on or before Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. (local time).  An original and two (2) copies of the proposal should be submitted enclosed in a sealed envelope and should be clearly  marked “Request for Expressions of Interest-MA Transportation” on the outside of the envelope.  Any proposals received after the time due will not be considered and shall be retained as documentation for the proposal file.

The Garrett County Health Department is sending this Request for Expression of Interest seeking to learn of any vendors that would meet the eligibility criteria, and that would respond to a competitive Request for Proposal to be issued in April 2017.  The award will run from July 1, 2017, through June 30, 2018, and will have a renewable 2-year period if performance is satisfactory.  Interested parties must be able to provide all types of transportation services:  ambulatory (capable of walking), wheelchair van, and ambulance (all levels including SCT-RN), 7 days a week.

The Garrett County Health Department reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to cancel this proposal and to waive technicalities in any part thereof deemed to be in the best interest of the Health Department.
