Medication Drop Off Boxes
Some facilities and businesses are registered with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to collect old, unused, unneeded, or expired medicines. These drug collection locations safely and securely gather and dispose of prescriptions that contain controlled substances, as well as other medicines. In Garrett County, there are drug drop boxes at the MD State Police Barracks, the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office, and the Oakland Town Hall.
