Go! Garrett County

By Chelsie Dever, MBA, Overdose Response Program Coordinator/Tobacco Treatment Specialist

Staff from the Garrett County Health Department’s Overdose Response Program will be hosting two Naloxone pick-up events where individuals can pick up the medication Naloxone and learn how to administer it. On May 7th from 5:30-6:30, individuals can pick up Naloxone at two locations, the Deer Park Community Center and the Garrett County Health Department Outreach Center in Grantsville. Naloxone is used to reverse overdoses caused by opioids. Opioids could include illegal drugs like heroin and fentanyl or even prescription opioids like oxycodone and hydrocodone. For any questions, please contact Chelsie Dever at 301-334-7724 or [email protected].
