The Garrett County Health Department’s computer network outage caused by a network security incident at Maryland Department of Health earlier in December continues to cause issues with phone lines going into and out of the Health Department. The issues are currently intermittent so trying your call several times may allow you to connect with someone. Some calls seem to be connecting while others are not. Please call directly to the office you need to reach and do not use the 7777 extension because it is not currently working. See the list below for direct phone numbers:
• Administration: 301-334-7700
• Adult Evaluation Review Services: 301-334-7740
• Behavioral Health: 301-334-7680
• Behavioral Health Authority (CORE): 301-334-7440
• Dental Health: 301-334-7660
• Environmental Health: 301-334-7760
• Health Education & Outreach: 301-334-7730
• Healthy Families/Early Care: 301-334-7720
• Home Health: 301-334-7750
• Personal Health: 301-334-7770
• WIC: 301-334-7710
You may experience extended periods of busy signals while trying to call any of the listed phone numbers because of the ongoing phone and computer issues.
Please check garretthealth.org or the Health Department Facebook page for updates.
Normally scheduled clinics are open. If you have an appointment scheduled for any clinics, please keep your appointment unless you are called with specific instructions otherwise.
Your patience is appreciated.
