This graph represents individuals hospitalized with a diagnosis of COVID-19 between July 1- September 15, 2021 and who reside in Garrett County.

Over time, there is a trend towards more people being hospitalized.

During the period of time depicted in the graph, 27 Garrett County residents required hospitalization.

22/27 (81.5%) of hospitalized Garrett County residents were not vaccinated for COVID-19.

5/27 (18.5%) of hospitalized residents were vaccinated.

These local data prove that being vaccinated against COVID-19 in Garrett County greatly protects against the need for hospitalization.

All of these hospital admissions are sad and frightening for the patients and their families.

Each hospitalization places further stress on our already overburdened healthcare system, its people and its supplies.

Garrett County Health Department wishes a healthier and safer autumn season as it progresses.

Our individual choices can slow the surge instead of contributing to it.

We are ready to vaccinate you. Please give us a call. If you have questions we are happy to answer them.
