School Based Flu Vaccine Clinics Schedule
The Garrett County Health Department is partnering with the Garrett County Public School System to make free injectable flu vaccine available to all qualifying and consenting middle and high school students in Garrett County.
Flu shots will be administered by Health Department staff to participating students free of charge from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the following schools:
Thur., Oct. 27 at Southern High; Fri., Oct. 28 at Northern High; Thur., Nov. 3 at Southern Middle; and Fri., Nov. 4 at Northern Middle.
To be eligible for the vaccine, students need to meet the following criteria:
- Enrolled in a Garrett County Middle or High School
- No history of severe allergic reaction to egg products
- No past history of Guillain-Barre syndrome
- No previous allergic reaction to flu vaccine
- And have submitted a completed medical screening form and signed consent form to the school by Sept. 30.
