Property Maps and Resources

Garrett County has launched a new enhancement to its public mapping portalmaps.garrettcountymd.gov — making it easier than ever for residents, realtors, contractors, and researchers to access environmental health records.

Now, when you click on a property in the interactive web map, a pop-up will appear with key parcel details — and for properties outside public water and sewer service areas, a new feature will also display a direct link to Health Department documents. This link connects users to digitized well and septic permit records maintained by the Garrett County Environmental Health Department.

How to Use the New Feature:

  1. Visit maps.garrettcountymd.gov.
  2. Search for or zoom in on a parcel of interest.
  3. Click on the property to bring up the parcel information.
  4. If the property is outside of public water/sewer service areas, click the “Health Dept Document Search By Parcel” link.
  5. Review available scanned permit records associated with that parcel.

If the property is outside of public water/sewer service areas, click the “Health Dept Document Search By Parcel” link.

This update streamlines access to vital records and supports land use research, home sales, environmental planning, and more.
