Northern end Garrett County elementary school students who were awarded medals for their accomplishments in the Play Hard, Live Clean campaign were recognized at halftime of the Northern Husky football game on October 25th. Students who completed one or more physical activity, healthy eating, or reduced screen time challenges were awarded either a bronze, silver, or gold medal. Students who wore their medal to the football game were given free admission. Pictured above in the back from left to right are health department staff members Kendra McLaughlin, Amy Ritchie, and James Michaels with the students who were excited about running onto the football field during the half time ceremony. Play Hard, Live Clean is a healthy lifestyle campaign for students in grades pre-k through 12, and is sponsored by the Garrett County Health Department and the Garrett County Public Schools.
