The Garrett County Health Department received positive COVID-19 results for one additional person, bringing the current county total positives to 65.
The new positive COVID-19 case is a female in her 20s who has symptoms and is isolating at home. There are currently two persons isolating in Garrett County due to COVID-19 positive tests.
Any future testing days will be announced on the health department’s Facebook page and website, garretthealth.org.
With the beginning of flu season drawing near, it is important to remember that the strategies to reduce viral respiratory illnesses are similar for both influenza and COVID-19. Help control the spread of respiratory illness by washing your hands and cleaning and disinfecting your environment frequently, covering respiratory secretions, and staying home while sick.
