The Garrett County Steps to Better Health Committee announced that the 2024 Family Fun Festival and Health Fair will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024. The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Community Aquatic & Recreation Complex (CARC) at Garrett College in McHenry.
The Garrett County Family Fun Festival will be held in conjunction with the Health Fair to celebrate the “Week of the Young Child,” which is from April 6 to April 12 this year. “Week of a Young Child” is recognized across the country to celebrate the importance of early childhood development. The Family Fun Festival promotes positive early childhood learning experiences and recognizes that these experiences are essential in laying the foundation for success in academics and throughout life.
The Family Fun Festival and Health Fair is a free community event designed to promote positive experiences in early childhood development and to promote overall health awareness for all ages. The event provides free games and a photo booth for children, informational booths with free resource sharing from various community providers, some free health screenings, door prizes, and other giveaways. You may also enter your child’s name into a drawing for a chance to win one of eight bikes with a helmet that will be given away at the event.
