Special recognition was given to leaders in the community on Thursday, October 31, 2019, at the semi-annual Board of Health meeting held at the Garrett County Health Department.
A group of diverse leaders from a variety of sectors were recognized for their contributions to the Garrett County Community Health Improvement Plan. These individuals work collaboratively to make measurable progress toward improving the health of Garrett County stakeholders utilizing the Garrett County Planning Tool (located at mygarrettcounty.com).
The Garrett County Planning Tool is an online tool the public can us to provide input on, or access to, local health data and programs. The tool is used to determine and plan vital public health programs as we work together to eliminate health disparities and improve equity in Garrett County.
“We deeply appreciate the continued commitment of our leaders who maintain accountable programming to be reported and tracked in the Community Health Improvement Plan,β said Garrett County Chief Health Strategist Shelley Argabrite.
