ALCOHOL AND DRUG ASSOCIATE COUNSELOR

The main purpose of this position is to provide interim/brief counseling and case management services to clients with substance use disorders with moderately complex problems as defined by standard treatment criteria. This position coordinates all treatment activities with services provided to the client by other resources and evaluates client progress in implementing the treatment plan and makes appropriate changes to ensure progress as outlined in the SATS contract Scope of Work. Incumbent will be on site at the local DHS office to assist in the identification of Temporary Cash Assistance, applicants and recipients and certain SNAP applicants and recipients along with TDAP, and Child Welfare Clients, and the referral of these individuals for assessment/testing to the appropriate treatment provider. The incumbent will act as a liaison between the FIA case manager, the MCO, if applicable and the substance abuse treatment provider. This position also provides information and input into the recipient’s status for initial and continued eligibility for benefits as outline the int contract deliverables.

This position will also complete Mental Health diagnostics and/or substance use assessments/evaluations. MENTAL HEALTH GRADUATE PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR
