There has been a recall issued for some Similac powder infant formulas manufactured in the Sturgis, MI Facility.
Here are the recall link notifications from FDA and Abbott:
The FDA is advising consumers not to use Similac, Alimentum or EleCare powdered infant formulas if:
- the first two digits of the code are 22 through 37 and
- the code on the container contains K8, SH, or Z2, and
- the expiration date is 4-1-2022 (APR 2022) or later.

If you are a WIC participant who has purchased one of these formulas, please check the lot number on line or call the WIC office. We may be able to issue the formula in the concentrate form. The formula should be returned to the WIC office.
