shockYouth from the Kitzmiller Empowerment Group recently participated in the Sticker Shock Project at three local business, including Swanton Grocery, J & S General Store, and Lee’s Corner Market. The youth, accompanied by Heather Berg, Outreach Worker at the Garrett County Health Department, put more than 800 stickers on cases of beer to educate the public about the laws and consequences of buying alcohol for anyone under 21 years of age.Β  Pictured above from left to right, are Shelia Hyde (store clerk), Nevaeh Gank and Leanna Hawk. The Sticker Shock Project is partially funded through the Garrett County Health Department with funds from MDH and SAMSHA. For more information on Sticker Shock call 301-334-7730 or 301-895-3111.
