Food Service Inspection Reports

The Food Program is enforced by the regulations set forth in COMAR 10.15.03. Environmental Health Services licenses approximately 300 food service facilities a year. Of these, a food service facility is determined to have a High / Moderate / Low priority rating. High facilities are inspected three times a year, Moderates twice a year, and Low priority facilities once a year. An inspection will also occur when a complaint is received.

A critical violation is found when a food safety requirement is not in place in order to reduce the incidence of food-related illness and injury.

All other violations are termed good retail practices. These items are preventive measures that control the introduction of pathogens, chemicals, and physical objects into foods.
