Flu Clinics Begin Thursday

​The Garrett County Health Department reminds residents that flu vaccinations can reduce flu illnesses, doctors’ visits, missed work and school, as well as hospitalizations.

The next walk-in clinic is today, Oct. 24th, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at GCHD’s Oakland Office.

There will be no out-of-pocket costs the flu shot for anyone, regardless of insurance status, but insurance providers, including Medicare Part B, will be billed as appropriate.Β  Insurance cards should be brought to the clinic.Β 

These additional clinics are scheduled:

  • Swanton Senior Center on October 28 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
  • Bloomington Fire Hall on October 28 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm
  • GCHD (Oakland location) on November 14 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
  • GCHD (Grantsville location) on November 15 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
