Go! Garrett County

By Garrett County STEPS Committee

The Garrett County Steps to Better Health Committee (STEPS) recently announced that the 2026 Garrett County Health and Wellness Fair, which includes a FREE “Kid’s Zone” area, will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026. The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Community Aquatic & Recreational Complex (CARC) at Garrett College in McHenry.

The Health and Wellness Fair promotes overall health awareness for individuals of all ages. The “Kid’s Zone” area includes fun-filled family activities designed to promote positive childhood experiences. Along with family activities, the event includes free facing painting for children, information booths with free resource sharing from various community providers, free health screenings, various door prizes, and other exciting giveaways. Children’s names can also be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of eight bikes and helmets which will be given away at the event.

“This event offers something for everyone!” says Natasha Coddington, STEPS Committee Member and Medical Care Program Associate at the Garrett County Health Department. “Be sure to invite your family and friends to join you at this fun-filled event!”
