Peer Recovery Specialist I, Certified
This full-time contractual position will assist as mentor and navigator for individuals with substance use disorder for the Garrett County Health Department. Specifically, this position will provide care coordination and peer support for individuals and their families post-overdose, during and after incarceration, and pre-trial to provide their lived experience and connect them with much needed services and follow-up care. This position facilitates and sustains partnerships with community stakeholders and public safety agencies to maintain referral systems and care coordination. This position also assists with overdose response training and the dissemination of harm reduction supplies. In addition, this position will provide lived experience to better inform prevention and response efforts.

MEDICAL DEPUTY HEALTH OFFICER
This part time contractual position will serve as medical Deputy Health Officer for the Garrett County Health Department. Provides medical oversight for county health department programs, assists the Health Officer in implementing State and local policies, and writes standing orders, as well as doctor’s orders for individuals. The Deputy Health Officer assist in assessing community health needs and guiding county health department clinical programs to meet those needs. Provides consultation on medical issues to health department staff and the medical community, including medical guidance in the event of a disease outbreak or other public health emergency. The Deputy Health Officer provides backup for the Health Officer as needed.

OFFICE SECRETARY I
The main purpose of this full-time contractual position is to provide secretarial support to the Director of Health Education and the Prevention Supervisor and Coordinators. This position will programmatically provide secretarial support to the Drug Free Communities Coalition, Overdose Fatality Review Team, Opioid Intervention Team, and other prevention programs.

Older Adult Outreach Specialist
The main purpose of this part-time contractual position is to provide outreach services 3-5 hours a week via home visits, visits in the community settings, and/or telephone contacts to older adults and adults with disabilities who reside in the community and are in need of behavioral health support. This position provides coordination of services, referral and collaboration with behavioral health providers, health care providers, and other community resources and agencies to assist in obtaining resources and coordinated services. This position also conducts depression screenings during outreach visits as needed. This position will provide education regarding older adult behavioral health at community events twice a year.
