The Garrett County Health Department’s Overdose Response Program will be hosting two Naloxone pick-up events where individuals can obtain the medication Naloxone and learn how to administer it. On September 10th, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, individuals can pick up Naloxone at two locations: the Mountain Lake Park Town Hall and the Garrett County Health Department Outreach Center in Grantsville. Naloxone is used to reverse overdoses caused by opioids. Opioids could include illegal drugs like heroin and fentanyl or even prescription opioids like oxycodone and hydrocodone.
