The Garrett County Center for Behavioral Health, a division of the Garrett County Health Department, is hiring clinicians! Our Outpatient Mental Health Clinic (OHMC) provides individual, family, and group psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, and adults throughout Garrett County. We are currently seeking skilled clinicians to provide school-based services in Garrett County.

Eligible clinicians must possess an active social work or counseling license in the state of Maryland (LGPC, LCPC, LMSW or LCSW-C). Experience providing counseling services is preferred, but not required. We have multiple opportunities within our school-based program that serves clients in Garrett County Public Schools. There are full-time, part-time or independent contractor positions available.

SOCIAL WORKER I, HEALTH SERVICES – (SCHOOL-BASED)

Social Worker I, Health Services is a professional clinical social work at the intermediate level providing direct social work services to clients in a special population in a health setting.  The work involves no supervisory duties or responsibilities.  The nature of the work may require evening and weekend hours.  Work is performed in hospitals, residential facilities, clinics or local health units.

MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR – (SCHOOL-BASED)

The main purpose of this full time position is to provide therapeutic services that may include the completion of diagnostic assessment and crisis interventions. Engage assigned clientele of the Garrett County Center for Behavioral Health in individual, family and/or group therapy services. The incumbent shall provide counseling and/or diagnostic services at the agreed upon clinic location or in the school setting.
