Persons interested in receiving a Moderna Bivalent vaccine at the Garrett County Health Department may be asked to switch to a Pfizer Bivalent for their booster dose in upcoming clinics due the limited supply of vaccine received from the manufacturer. Providers across the State have received very small allocations of Moderna Bivalent vaccine, and the demand has exceeded the supply. Pfizer Bivalent vaccine is readily available and it is acceptable to interchange vaccines after the initial series. Availability of the Moderna Bivalent vaccine is expected to increase in the next several weeks, and the Health Department is working to secure additional doses. Please accept our apology for the inconvenience.
