Youth In Action Teams Celebrate with Ugly Sweater Party

Members of the Youth In Action (YIA) Teams from Northern and Southern Middle and High Schools came together at the Garrett County Health Department last week for celebration, team building, and learning. “We ask team members to empower and encourage other students to consider the impact of their choices on their friends, families and community,” said Brenda Sisler, YIA Coordinator. “Youth in Action Teams have the responsibility of educating peers and giving them the knowledge, skills, and power to make safe choices that will positively impact their future.” Pictured above are YIA team members, advisors and health department staff.
