Nominations for Outstanding Partner In Health Awards Requested
The Steps For Better Health Committee is seeking nominations for the Garrett County Outstanding Partner in Health Awards which will be announced at the Garrett County Health Fair on April 8, 2017. Nominations must be submitted by March 24th.
The award is designed to recognize and honor individuals, and organizations or businesses that have made significant contributions to creating healthier places to live, work, and receive care in Garrett County. Nominees for this award should be outstanding catalysts who motivate and empower others through their actions. Winning candidates will demonstrate excellence, dedication, commitment and innovation in service to clients and the community.
“In striving to promote good health, prevent chronic diseases and encourage well-being in Garrett County and the surrounding region,” said Charles Wilt Committee Chairman, “the Steps to Better Health Committee recognizes that certain individuals and organizations deserve special recognition for their efforts to make positive changes happen in the community.”
Award categories exist for both Individuals and for Organizations/Businesses.
“So, the question is, how have they gone above and beyond their job duty or their organizational mission to create a healthier Garrett County?” said Wilt. “Remember that the selection committee rates a nomination based only on what is included in the application, so be clear about the nominee’s contributions to the health of our community.”
