Local Screening of HEROIN(E) Documentary Scheduled
There will be a local screening of the Netflix original short documentary Heroin(e) in Accident on Saturday, October 27, at Garrett Collegeโs Career Technology Training Center.
Heroin(e) chronicles the stories of three women working to break the devastating cycle of drug abuse and overdoes in Huntington, WV, while showing a different side of the fight โ one of hope.
Two of the featured women in the film, Fire Chief Jan Rader and Judge Patricia Keller (a part-time resident of Garrett County) will be at the showing and participate in a question and answer session.
The event is a partnership between the Garrett County Commission for Women and the Garrett County Health Department. Registration and refreshments will begin at 8:30 a.m. There will be a discussions of how drug abuse is affecting Garrett County both before and after lunch. The event will conclude at 1:15 p.m.
