Did you know that you should watch your BAC (blood alcohol content)? Did you know that alcohol is a drug? Alcohol is a drug that acts as a depressant, and sobering up takes a long time. The Garrett County Health Department Prevention Team wants you to THINK. PLAN. ACT. WATCH YOUR BAC.
A healthy liver breaks down less than one standard drink per hour.Ā Ā The only thing thatĀ will lowerĀ your BAC onceĀ it isĀ increased is TIME. Ā
Think about how you will pace yourself to keep your BAC low- such as keeping track of how many alcoholic drinks you are consuming, or alternating them with water throughout the night.
Always eat before and during a night out, and remain in control of your situation.
Know your limit. Itās O.K to say when youāve had enough.
