Friendsville Community Celebrates Grandparents

The Friendsville Community Watch sponsored their annual Grandparents Dinner on September 16th at the Friendsville Senior Center.  More than 40 participants attended to enjoy the meal and honor the grandparents in the community. Officers with the Garrett County Drug Task Force were on hand to discuss prescription drug abuse and dispose of unneeded prescriptions brought in by participants. In the picture above participants continued learning about the issue by playing Rx Misuse Bingo. Special boxes are available in the lobbies of the Maryland State Police barrack (McHenry) and the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office to dispose of expired or unneeded medications.
