The Garrett County Health Department reminds residents that flu vaccinations can reduce flu illnesses, doctorsโ visits, missed work and school, as well as hospitalizations.
The first walk-in clinics schedule will be Thursday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at GCHDโs Oakland Office.
There will be no out-of-pocket costs the flu shot for anyone, regardless of insurance status, but insurance providers, including Medicare Part B, will be billed as appropriate.ย Insurance cards should be brought to the clinic.
These additional clinics are scheduled:
- Friendsville Senior Center on October 16 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
- GCHD (Grantsville office at 28 Hershberger Lane) on October 18 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
- Kitzmiller Senior Center on October 23 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
- GCHD (Oakland office) on October 24 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
- Swanton Senior Center on October 28 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
- Bloomington Fire Hall on October 28 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm
- GCHD (Oakland location) on November 14 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
- GCHD (Grantsville location) on November 15 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
