The Family Fun Festival is planned in conjunction with the Garrett County Health Fair to celebrate the Month of the Young Child.
The combined event is scheduled for Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Garrett College CARC, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Fun Festival provides free hands-on activities, lots of give-a-ways, and valuable information and resources. Children can register for a chance to win one of eight brand new bicycles with helmets.
The event promotes healthy family oriented activities that support families in helping their children learn and be successful in school. Information about the various services available for young children and their families will be available and staff will be on hand to answer questions.
The Month of the Young Child is celebrated across the country by hundreds of local organizations working to improve opportunities for all young children. In combination with the Month of the Young Child, the Family Fun Festival recognizes that early learning experiences are essential to the growth and development of all young children and is an opportunity to thank educators and others involved in building better futures for all children.
Families are also encouraged to take advantage of the screenings and presentations and visit the many booths throughout the Health Fair. The combined event is provided at no charge and no reservations are required.
