The Healthy Families Department at the Garrett County Health Department has a full time (Recruitment #20-004215-0002) or part-time (Recruitment #20-004215-0003) contractual opening for a Community Health Nurse I or full time (Recruitment #20-004216-0010) or part-time II (Recruitment #20-004216-0006) for a Community Health Nurse II. The main purpose of the position is to provide intensive nurse home visiting to pregnant women and children up to five years of age. This position will promote family and child health through education, health promotion, assessment and referral in collaboration with other health professionals and community agencies to support family and children’s optimal health, nutrition, safety, and development. Home visits include ongoing assessment and development of a plan of care with families taking into account each families unique strengths and needs.

The Healthy Families Department at the Garrett County Health Department has a full-time (Recruitment #20-002722-0006) or part-time(Recruitment #20-002722-007) contractual opening for a Coordinator Special Programs I or full-time (Recruitment #20-002818-0002) or part-time (Recruitment #20-002818-0003) Coordinator Special Programs II. The main purpose of the position is to provide intensive Healthy Families America home visiting services to pregnant women and children up to five years of age. This position will promote family and child health through education, health promotion, assessment and referral in collaboration with other professionals and community agencies to support family and children’s optimal health, nutrition, safety, and development. The home visitor will be provided with weekly reflective supervision sessions from the Early Care (ECSOC) Nurse Supervisor to promote continued growth with the program.

Rate: Salary negotiable, based on experience. Contractual employees may be eligible for benefits.
