Donation Supports Partners After School Summer Programs
A donation from GCC Technologies, LLC, has made it possible to continue programming through the summer at Partners After School (PAS) programs.Β Enhancement activities include STEM, literacy, health and wellness activities and more.Β Over the course of a year approximately 100 Garrett County students in grades K-8 attend the after school programs. Partners after School programs serve children in the Accident, Grantsville, and Oakland areas.Β The summer theme for PAS @ Oakland is Time Travel Adventure, and the theme for PAS @ Accident is Power Up. Pictured from left are James Michaels, PAS @ Oakland Program Director; DeAnna Murphy, PMP, Facilities Manager, GCC Technologies; Derek Silbaugh, PAS @ Oakland Program Assistant; and Venessa Stacy, PAS @ Accident Program Director.Β Programs are provided by the Garrett County Health Department through funds from Garrett County Local Management Board (LMB), Garrett County Commissioners, Governor’s Office for Children, United Way of Garrett County, MSDE, and the 21st Century CLC.
