ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST I
The main purpose of this full-time contractual position is to assist with the planning and implementation of alcohol and other drug prevention activities for the Garrett County Health Department. Specifically, work with prevention coordinators to promote alcohol and other drug prevention campaigns which were created to educate youth and adults about the dangers of substance use and to prevent use.

Other duties to this position include but are not limited to:

• Administering the Guiding Good Choices Curriculum in after school programs;
• Overseeing the general operations of Youth in Action and guiding the Youth in Action group at Northern High School which is important for educating youth on drug prevention topics and empowering them to be peer to peer leaders;
• Assisting with Cannabis use prevention activities.

County health departments rely on needs assessments for improving the health of the community. Within the grants, there are opportunities to assist with surveys, focus groups and key informant interviews. This position involves helping to schedule and work at events where surveys will be administered, for example, town halls and community health fairs.

PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT II
The main purpose of this full-time contractual position will be to assist and aid patients/clients to recover, improve and maintain the skills needed to perform activities of daily living and working. This position is directly involved in providing therapies to patients/clients under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and a Home Health Nurse Supervisor or Director.
