Director of Personal Health

This position is responsible for the daily management, coordination, supervision of administrative and clinical activities in the Personal Health division of Garrett County Health Department. The incumbent will supervise professional, paraprofessional and clerical employees within the division to ensure they are working effectively toward the organization’s goals. Directs programs while providing administrative and financial oversight of the following programs: The Cancer, Education, Screening and Testing program, Maryland Cancer Grant, Ryan White, Emergency Preparedness, MedBank, Communicable Disease and the Immunization program. This position will provide clinical services as a Certified Nurse Practitioner in the reproductive programs after receiving training from the Certified Nurse Midwife and support of the Medical Director.

MEDICAL CARE PROGRAM ASSOCIATE I

This part time contractual position is responsible for providing eligibility and completing verification determination; documenting case notes for Maryland’s health insurance coverage; implementing Maryland Health Connection (MHC)/MDH Eligibility Unit’s regulations, policies, procedures and practices when determining and documenting eligibility and processing verifications. Duties include clearing verifications in the Maryland Health Connection’s – Health Benefit Exchange (HBX) worker portal; completing other reports and tasks required by MHC/MDH for enrollment and determination in Maryland for health insurance, i.e. Paris Reports, SSN Lists, Query’s, Redetermination Report, Managed Care Organization & Inmate Initiate Duties, assisting with SRS Review process in compliance with MHC’s/MDH Eligibility Unit’s Standard Operating Procedures as needed, and participation in MHC meetings and/or training as required or recommended.

AFTER SCHOOL ASSISTANT

The main purpose of this part time contractual position is to assist in the coordination and implementation of an afterschool program for third through eighth grade students. The hours for this position are most often Monday-Thursday 3pm-6:30pm. Evenings and weekends required. Some day shifts are needed for summer program and training.

The main purpose of this full time contractual position is to provide professional nursing care to mentally ill patients for behavioral health and recovery services and clients attending clinics for preventive or treatment services.
