By Diane Lee, Public Information Officer, Garrett County Health Department
The CDC issued a health advisory in early November after detecting an early rise of respiratory illnesses compared to average years. In the month since this advisory, the CDC has continued tracking higher than usual levels of RSV, influenza, and COVID-19 for this time of year.
A new Respiratory Illness Snapshot is now available on the Garrett County Health Department’s website that shows the local numbers of these illnesses and includes links to state and national data. The page includes recommendations from Dr. Jennifer Corder, Deputy Health Officer.
