A series of exercise demos are schedule at the Garrett County Health Fair and Family Fun Festival on April 13th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Garrett College CARC. A Roots: A Yoga and Movement Studio demo is scheduled for 11 a.m. This Yoga Studio, located in McHenry, offers a range of dynamic movement classes for all skill levels from highly educated, qualified instructors. Roots is a place to connect, achieve personal success, and discover whole life wellness. Owner and founder Jade O’Faolean-Frushour is a Garrett County native and passionate wellness advocate. At “Roots” you can find everything from restorative to high intensity classes, women’s gatherings, private parties, blacklight yoga, dance, and a variety of other wellness workshops. Their demo will include a combination of Vinyasa and Buti Yoga. Vinyasa is an ancient yoga practice based on flowing through postures with connected breath work and static holds of various poses. Buti Yoga is a primal movement format that incorporates tribal dance and dynamic movement through a creative power-flow style practice. It is musically driven and designed as a HIIT style (high intensity interval training) class. For more information call 970-922-8576 or find Roots: A Yoga and Movement Studio on Facebook.
