2018 Garrett County Health Fair Draws Large Crowd
Nearly 700 participants attended the Garrett County Health Fair and Family Fun Festival at Garrett College CARC (Community Aquatic Recreation Complex) on Saturday, April 14. Attendees were able to visit more than 70 venders, participate in various health screenings, watch four exercise demonstrations, and be entered into numerous drawings for door prizes and other giveaways. Pictured seated above are Eric Cvetnick and Cindy Mankamyer, nurses from the Health Department, talking to several participants of this yearβs Health Fair, while many other attendees mingle in the background. The health fair is held each year as a way to increase health awareness and to promote the health-oriented resources throughout the local community. The event is organized by the Garrett County Steps to Better Health Committee, a group composed of private citizens, local businesses and public agencies. Gold Sponsors of the Health Fair included: Garrett County Health Department (GCHD), Garrett Regional Medical Center, Maryland Physicians Care, and Mountain Laurel Medical Center.
