Go! Garrett County

By Diane Lee, Public Information Officer, Garrett County Health Department

The Garrett County Health Department, in cooperation with Garrett County Public Schools and Garrett College, has scheduled COVID-19 vaccination clinics to be held in local high school gyms and at Garrett College. These special clinics are designed to make it easier for students who will be attending those schools to receive their vaccinations, but will also be open to the public for vaccinations.

“We want to make it as easy as possible for every eligible person to get their COVID-19 vaccinations,” said Dr. Jennifer Corder, Deputy Health Officer for Garrett and Allegany Counties. “Having vaccination clinics at these locations makes so much sense. Please consider vaccinating the youth in your households who are 12 years old and older. And, while you’re at it, if you haven’t already been vaccinated, be a good example and get yours, too.”

In addition to the GCHD clinics which are listed below, the Maryland Department of Health GoVAX Summer Tour is holding a COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic at the 64th Annual Garrett County Agricultural Fair each evening this week from 3-8 p.m. through Saturday, Aug. 7. Vaccines will be available for individuals ages 12 and older and no appointment is required.

All GCHD clinics listed below are free and are available to anyone 12+. All clinics will have Moderna, Johnson and Johnson, and Pfizer vaccine available. Scheduling links are available at garretthealth.org. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are also welcome. Second doses will be scheduled as needed depending on which vaccine is received.
