GCC Technologies Promotes Wear Red Day
Employees of GCC Technologies show their support for National Wear Red Day on February 2, 2018. Why Go Red? The Go Red For Women campaign advocates for more research and swifter action for women’s heart health. Cardiovascular disease in the U.S. kills approximately one woman every 80 seconds. The good news is that 80 percent of cardiac events may be prevented with education and lifestyle changes. Pictured above are some of the employees who wore red. In the front row are Ashley Knauer and Karen Wright. In the back row are Derek Yoder, Melissa Anderson, Terri Lawrence, Nicole McCullough, Selena Reckart, and Melissa McKenzie. GCC Technologies received a wellness mini grant from the Garrett County Health Department (GCHD) to promote Health and Wellness in their workplace. For more information about workplace wellness please contact Sandy Miller, GCHD Prevention Supervisor at 301-334-7730 or 301-895-3111.
